Small, Sweet, and Loaded in Cals

So this past weekend I created a quick and simple, yet "hits the spot satisfying" dessert: oreo truffles. It really is so easy to make and only calls for three ingredients. I recommend for any occasion, whether it be for a birthday party or just one of those pms, crappy days.

- 2 packages of oreo cookies
- 2 (8 oz) blocks of cream cheese ; soften
- 4 packages of semi-sweet chocolate
- any toppings of your choice: crushed candy, toasted coconut, white chocolate, more oreos, etc.

1. Crush the oreos into fine crumbs. ( I don't have a food processor, so I just crushed them in a ziplock bag)
2. Blend the oreos with the soften cream cheese.
3. Roll into 1-2 inch balls, and place onto a cookie sheet covered with in wax paper
4. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
5. Once chilled, slowly melt the semi-sweet chocolate (and I mean slowly, I learned the hard way the chocolate burns really fast!)
6. Drop the truffles into the melted chocolate, and using forks take them out slowly rotating the excess chocolate.
7. If you have extra toppings, this is the time add them.

I personally can vouch for these delightful pieces of heaven. Had these on Saturday night and they were the hit of the party! One bite, and it's like you sold your soul to the devil! Sinfully delicous! And right when I thought it couldn't get any better, I downed it with a cold glass of milk - spiked with Baileys Irish Cream, of course ;) Yum! Thanks for the recipe Sarah!
